The first Guilin (Li River) Superhard materials Development Forum was successfully concluded in Guilin

On December 29, the first "Guilin (Lijiang) Superhard Materials Industry Development Forum" jointly sponsored by Guilin Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Guilin Lingui District People's Government and Guilin Superhard Materials Association was held in Hongmou Hotel, Lingui District, Guilin. The forum was professionally guided by China Colored Guilin Institute of Mineral Geology Co., LTD. (" ZhongColor Guilin Institute ") and Superhard Materials and Products Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Materials Research (" Committee "). Co-organized by College of Materials Science and Engineering, Guilin University of Technology, College of Materials Science and Engineering, Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, College of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Guangxi Normal University, "Specialized and Special" Enterprise Development Research Center of Guangxi Normal University, and College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Guilin University of Aerospace Technology. It is co-sponsored by Guilin Hualun Diamond Tools Co., LTD., Guilin Guiye Machinery Co., LTD., Guilin Gonghu Diamond Co., LTD.

On the morning of December 29, the forum invited Yang Guogao, Party secretary, chairman and general manager of Guilin Institute, to deliver a speech for the opening ceremony. Jiang Yuliang, member of the Standing Committee of the Guilin Municipal Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, Zhu Xiangteng, Deputy director of the Guilin Science and Technology Bureau, Liao Xianmei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Lingui District Committee, Peng Yusheng, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Lingui District People's Congress, Lv Zhi, member of the Guangxi District Government and honorary director of the Special Committee, Professor Hu Qiaofan, honorary president of the Guilin Superhard Materials Association and deputy general manager of the Guilin Institute, attended the forum. The meeting also invited Professor Zhang Shaohe of the School of Earth Science and Information Physics of Central South University, Professor Huang Guoqin, vice president of Huaqiao University Manufacturing Engineering Research Institute, He Meizheng, general manager of Hunan Changsha Cabang Superhard Materials Co., LTD., leaders of Guilin City Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Lingui District Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Lingui District Environmental Protection Bureau and other leaders to attend the meeting, and nearly 100 representatives attended the forum to listen to the report.

Secretary Yang Guogao said that after 60 years of continuous development of China's superhard materials, related products are leading the world, and Guilin is also continuing to contribute. China's diamond industry has reached the key point of transformation, and the frontier hot spot is changing from superhard basic materials to structural and functional applications. It is hoped that the superhard material industry in Guilin can continue to develop to the precision and depth in tool technology, and also keep up with the pace of advanced ideas in functional applications.

The forum invited Professor Lin Feng, Chairman of the special committee, to preside over the opening of the forum, and Professor Wu Yi from Guilin University of Technology presided over the keynote report. Presentations were made by Prof Cheung Shiu-he, Prof WONG Kwok-chin, Ms He Mei-chun and Prof Chen Chao, Secretary-General of the Special Committee. The report covers the cutting-edge application of 3D printing in superhard material products, the cutting-edge development of micro-structure precision machining superhard material tools, the sharing of experience in surface hardening treatment technology of superhard materials, and the development status and trend of diamond wire saws.
